Geilo is situated halfway between Oslo and Bergen, and it's easy to get here by both car, train and bus.

By train

The Bergen Railway is the most beautiful train journey in the world, according to Lonely Planet, the Norwegian

press agency NPK, and the national newspaper, Aftenposten.

You can travel comfortably and efficiently to Geilo with the Bergen line: Approximately 3 hours from Bergen and

3 1/2 hours from Oslo.The train has 5-6 arrivals/departures to/from Geilo each day.Make your reservations on by clicking HERE.

By car

From Oslo you can follow E16 towards Hønefoss, then RV7 towards Bergen. It`s about 250 km from Oslo to Geilo.

You can also follow the RV40 from Larvik. From Bergen you can follow RV7, towards Oslo, or you can go by RV50

without the ferry.

By bus

There are daily departures to Geilo from Oslo on Hallingbussen on RV 7. Click HERE for schedules.There are daily
